Different builders include different things. A lower bid may exclude items another includes. Apples-to-apples comparison requires detailed review.
What to Compare
Specifications: Are materials and brands specified, or just allowances?
Inclusions: Appliances, lighting, landscaping, driveway — what is included?
Allowances: Are they realistic or artificially low?
Warranty: What is covered and for how long?
Beyond the Numbers
Visit completed homes. Talk to past clients. Evaluate communication style and transparency. The relationship matters as much as the price.
